16,000 residential units consisting of single-family and multi-family housing are approved to be a part of the largest retail-residential complex ever undertaken in the Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Hernando County. Currently, Pulte Homes Corporation owns 2,000 single family home units within the Wiregrass Ranch project. At this time Pulte does not have a set time for beginning the residential construction.

There are an additional 14,000 units left within Wiregrass for residential building which are slated for both single and multi family. As with all communities, it is unknown whether they will all be built or if land use changes will take advantage of growing trends in the commercial, office, and industrial sectors. The proposed Master Plan of Wiregrass Ranch holds retail, industrial, hospital, civic, residential (gated and private), educational, office, golf course, and recreation.
