The opening on October 30, 2008 was one of a kind with a vibrant family feel which included stilt walkers, a mime, confetti, and hundreds of butterflies that were released. The children’s play area is dedicated to Lajuana Porter, who passed away in August of 2008. She lived on Wiregrass Ranch for over twenty years just half of a mile North of where the Shops at Wiregrass sits today.
