Wiregrass Ranch Scholarship Recipient - 2009Wiregrass Ranch High School

The generosity of the Porter family runs deeply through the generations, the children on Don Porter, J.D. and Quinn, created a scholarship for the local high school when it opened in 2006. This was in honor of their grandmother Martha M. Porter, who always valued education. It was simply to help out families in need and to help a deserving teenager's dream of college become a reality. The scholarship is meant for a hard working and goal driven individual.

This $2,000 scholarship goes towards the four year university or community college of the student's choice. Seniors of Wiregrass Ranch High School are eligible and can apply until May 8, 2010. The scholarship will be awarded May 2010 at the Wiregrass Ranch High School Seniors Banquet.

Congratulations to the 2009 Scholarship Recipient - Alex Mena.
